Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very popular. When she was a kid she was subjected to racial taunts by American citizens of all races. In the ninth grade, after a school audition where she received high praise for her singing as she built confidence. It not only increased her confidence but her dreams were changed. At 22, she graduated from New York's Julliard School. At the age of 23 she started her professional career, making her debut at the Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot she portrayed the Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as critical praise. The following year, she joined the ABC program Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. Apart from being a popular singer, she also released her own solo album and a longer piece. In addition, she is a LGBT activist.
